A full wood privacy fence for a backyard in Scarborough, Toronto. The yard sits higher than the neighbour’s side, so we built a wood retaining wall along the bottom of the fence to hold back the soil.
Where the wood is in contact with the ground, we added insulation and a membrane to keep moisture off the boards. That’s the part that usually rots first, so it’s worth protecting.
